Tommy - so much goodness in here, love the trip inside yourself - a walk in the wild - just as it is, with no polishing or editing out the challenging parts, frustrating parts. I agree and relish authors (like Haley) who show us that.

I loved this line and it will be so useful for me going forward as a pause to say “no” to requests: “Yet I tend to take on so much "laptop stuff".

Thank you for brightening my Saturday morning.

James, thank you so much for reading and sharing such kind words. Brought a smile to my face.

I try my best. It’s easy to filter these parts out (subconsciously but especially in edits). Anything I write that puts me in a category with Haley is a compliment.

Enjoy a beautiful Saturday in Idaho :)

Me too with regard to Haley. And I will enjoy the weekend. Need to get started writing but have too much planned including a trip to Arizona tomorrow. I will come up with something. :)

A trip to Arizona sounds awesome. Get some warmer weather!

I just barely got my draft done. I’m sure you’ll write something great. Let me know if there’s anything I can do to help the process along :)

I so appreciate your gritty honesty and heartfelt transparency, Tommy. The intensity your write with allows your reader a close up insight we can learn and grow from. By understanding what’s on your mind, we are able to delve deeper into our own and self reflections are most valuable!

Thank you Tommy for this personal reflection.

Hitting the road tomorrow for gigs and empathizing with your description of being torn between screentime and real life!

I always come back to that naval quote:
