“Like the decor that my Mom hangs in our kitchen says: Relax. Smile. Laugh. Love. Have fun.” I think I have same exact print as your mom in my house. Great read!

Haha it's probably a commonality across moms. Thank you for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed :)

Every Saturday musing triggers thoughts to slow down and quash the urge to ACCOMPLISH SOMETHING! Perhaps my finest accomplishment resides within. Thank you, Tommy, for providing alternate avenues to myself.

Thank you Bob. This comment made my day.

It's something I need to remind myself daily. How to find the balance between doing and being, speed and slowness.

Thich Nhat Hahn: "You already are everything you are seeking". I think you're quite right.

Thanks again for reading. Means a lot to me. Have a lovely rest of your weekend.

I think is takes courage to “dig deep” within ourselves and realize who we are as individuals and what character traits we are made of!!! Valuable insight into knowing yourself Tommy!!!

Oh, and I clearly recall Tommy in Grade 1 at the age of seven being assigned his first project ever (topic…a valuable community member). You came home from school and headed directly to that dining room table to hunker down on researching, writing, re-writing, illustrating and practicing the oral presentation component. You’d only put it aside once you felt you had completed quality work and were as best prepared as possible. And again, the due date was a good two weeks away! The dedication and seriousness of work has never escaped your grip, Tommy!!!

Something many of us can lack.

Most proud of you for this…Mum

“I'd be assigned a school project, maybe a presentation on Ancient Egypt, and I'd race home, pull up a big wooden chair to our dining room table, drop my pile of library books I'd gathered, and get to work reading about mummies and pharaohs.”

Wow, Tommy what a beautiful story that shows who you are. Never let anyone tell you that’s a weakness. What an amazing trait of yours!!

Hey Leo. Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate it :)

It's interesting when you can trace things back to your childhood, and realize that some traits you have now, you've always had.

Appreciate you reading my work :)

This was when he was in grade 2, Leo. It’s pretty wired into Tommy, as he says. Great wiring, just needs a little tweaking, as he is clearly doing. Super proud Dad!!!
