This wonderful essay reminds me of the core idea of Essentialism: Less but better.

The true returns in life don’t come from compulsively doing and adding more.

They come from selecting what you engage in deliberately and having the wisdom and courage to say no to everything else.

Love this metaphor! Fulton Sheen has a lecture on "digesting" what we read and listen to. Sustained nourishment over the infamous sugar-high then crash.
